Immediately following any tragedy involving gun violence, there is almost always a renewed push by the left to restrict the Second Amendment rights of the citizenry.  Now, as honesty would work against them (and is a foreign concept to the movers and shakers on the left anyways) rights-restricting gun legislation and the propaganda used to ease it’s way has to be carefully worded.   Don’t say you want to confiscate weapons from law abiding citizens, say that we need to get guns off the street so we can all feel safer.  Don’t say that those in power should decide who can and cannot exercise their basic and Constitutionally protected rights, say that licenses and permits are necessary to make sure ‘only the right people’ have access to guns (again, don’t worry what qualifies one as the “right” sort, that’s none of your concern).

Do as he says…

…Not as he does.

Several US Navy SEALS were recently disciplined over their involvement with an upcoming video game, Medal of Honor: Warfighter.  At issue is their alleged disclosure of tactics, strategies, and, according to at least one piece I read, equipment.

Now, if it happens to be that it’s true, and that these men were taking payment for consultation, especially if classified material was involved, then it is unquestionably necessary to discipline them (though one has to ask why it was only 7 of the 11 that received the letters of reprimand).  All well and good, and fine so far as it goes…

…so why do we turn a blind eye when the President and/or his administration leak sensitive information, both more often and of a more sensitive nature?  Has everyone forgotten Dr. Shakil Afridi, the doctor who helped US operatives find Bin Laden?  Seriously, folks, I spaced on his name and just googled “Pakistani doctor, bin laden raid,” and there he was!  THAT is the amount of trust our servicemen and allies can place in us?

Isn’t it apparent why, comparatively, I’m less concerned with some SEALS having potentially gossiped about some of the latest and greatest attachments for their M4A1’s?

Come on, MSM, what about Dr. Afridi, what about endangering Israel over the Stuxnet leak?  Nope, not when there’s a video game on the horizon that they could focus on instead…

We’ve got four more years of the worst kind of politicians in office because the media doesn’t want to shine the spotlight where it’s so clearly and desperately needed:  the administration.

Always nice to hear a bit more from Friedman, eh?  Seems he’s always relevant.  Time for #3.

I keep hearing about how conservatives are trying to restrict women’s rights.  What I haven’t heard is a single legitimate argument supporting this claim.  Whenever it comes up, liberals and pseudo-feminists go on at length about two main things: abortion and birth control.

The recent strike by teachers in Chicago is over, and everybody seems to be heaving a sigh of relief.  The politicians, because they can say they’ve resolved the issue; parents, because their children have a place to go during the day, other than wandering the crime infested streets of Chicago; teachers last and, in my opinion for this matter, least, get to go back to “work” (quotations explained later), with assurances of an even fatter paycheck, and safe in the knowledge that the attempt to judge their performance has been quashed.

So, for my first post, I thought I’d take a stab at one of the ridiculous pseudo-scandals the media is currently trying to push.

The ‘scandal’ it that he said this:

“Well, there are 47% of the people who will vote for the president no matter what
